Television’s most-watched history series American Experience has been hailed as the “most consistently enriching program on television‚” (Chicago Tribune), and “a beacon of intelligence and purpose” (Houston Chronicle). On air, the series brings to life the incredible characters and epic stories that have shaped America’s past and present.
American Experience needed a way to organize large amounts of content and teachers resources to for their audiences - viewers and online researchers. They also were ready to start streaming full shows online and needed a suitable experience.
The site is a hybrid of HTML and a dynamic Flash media player. An extensive django based CMS allows the client to manage all site content.
